Polish box version - CD required in drive!tomekz02/13/2009 - 18:10

Hi! I've bought World of Goo polish box version (keep case with additional paper cover in fact) published by City Interactive and RTL Playtainment) and I have unpleasant surprise: original game CD must be present in drive!

What is going on? I have netbook without optical drive, why I can't install and play game there? I thought WoG is copy-protection free, why I am punished?

Tomek Z.

I'm pretty sure World of Goo is DRM Free... Not really sure why, I don't need to have it in the CD case. Might just be some security feature you've got on your computer.

I know original WoG is DRM-free, that's why I'm so surprised. Dear authors - did you gave permission to such thing? I have WoG published in Poland, it requires CD in drive on english and polish windows XP, I tried both...

Please don't create multiple posts for the same thing. It'll clutter the boards.

On my computer requires CD in drive too. Probably after patching it will be fixed (patch 1.30 dosen't work correctly on polish version, so we have to wait for 1.40).
