Will there be a way to transfer saved data from the preview to the full game?

Just curious, 'cause I don't want to have to play chapter 1 again when the game comes out.

Ohhhh... I get it, so somebody's too good to play chapter 1 over are they!?!?!?  You think you're better than the rest of us?  Oh boo-hoo, I can't play chapter 1 again, not again!  You sure do have some nerve complaining about playing a few levels over when 2D Boy made this game out of the goodness of his skinny little heart!    ;)

This game is awesome, I'll play the first chapter a few times over just to get more balls.  :P

Besides, here's a more important question...

Will there be Blueballs in the game???  I mean I know this game isn't gender specific but I'm sure that all men and the entire male World of Goo fan base can sympathize with blueballs!  Life can be cruel sometimes, unless you're a masochist, in which case life is an eternal wet-dream.

;D Well, I also want to keep my high scores for the levels.

Yeah, i did quite good on the first chapter i think.. most of my scores on the first run, are still unbeatable :-D

i'm actually scared i will lose my magic if i have to replay them again (for real)

either way, fun game, fun developer

I think I remember seeing somewhere that you would be able to continue playing without redoing level 1, but with levels like Tumbler where players can easily abuse bugs to get many more goo balls than they should, in my opinion they should force you to do it again.

there probably will not be a way to transfer the save data. The gameplay, ball criteria, ball count, world of goo corp, etc, will likely change slightly, so progress in the preview version won't map 1:1 to the final version. You guys might have an unfair advantage!

If you want, we might be able to sneak in a cheat key to unlock the next chapter so you don't have to endure the excruciating horror and misery of the first 12 levels again  :)

Oh that's good. I almost threw up with disgust joy after playing the first 12 levels. :D

Well FWIW I've played every level in the first episode several times already on my desktop.  I also recently realized my laptop has enough juice to run your game (thank god for great developers that don't feel the need to make my lappy cry) so I've played through all of them a bunch of times _again_ on that machine so I can have goo on the go!\

I won't be upset in the slightest if the final game comes out and I have to replay the first levels.  Who knows, changes to the engine or physics might make the levels so different I'd want to anyways..  Maybe we get a gold star on our clouds for having preordered or something to ease the pain of the people who don't feel the same as I.

Oh no! I might have to spend more time enjoying playing through the same levels I love playing through repeatedly! This is terrible news!

I like the gold star though... It would make me feel special.

I definitely think we shouldn't be able to transfer it over. After all, all the cheating I've done has my ball count way above what it should be!

How about letting you use your magic key to potentially unlock level 2?  It will check if your key was a ch1 key or a full game key?

I've played it through half a dozen times at least so far, once more won't hurt. :P

It only takes ten minutes or so to beat if you rush through it o.O
