New Challenge! 100% OCD as quick as you can!DaftasBrush03/26/2009 - 13:30

Just tried this myself and got what I think is a "respectable" time...
But would like some comparison.

The rules are simple.

Play all standard Goo levels and get OCD (or better) on all of them.
Lowest Elapsed time Wins!

I've got  1:54:12

Anyone done better??  DaB

Wow it's quick! I'm gonna try this.

However there should be frustrating levels to get : regurgitation pumping station, super fuse challenge time, weather vane...

Great job anyway ;)

Re: New Challenge! 100% OCD as quick as you can!Buttersnack03/26/2009 - 16:04

I haven't even OCD'ed every level yet.

(Sadly, will never OCD MOM's computer unless I make a new profile.)

Re: New Challenge! 100% OCD as quick as you can!DaftasBrush03/26/2009 - 16:36

@Kopa
Yeah - Regurg took 3 tries.. 45,43, 42
So did Ode to Bridge Builder (annoyingly) my tower kept falling over backwards.
Tumbler and WaterLock took far longer than they should...
Messed up Upper Shaft first time around, so took it very steady 2nd time.

Similar with Grape Vine Virus, get a stray shot and a dead Goo and you've had it.
Deliverance also took a few retries to get the full top to bottom cascade to fall just right.

I've got SFCT pretty much down and I LUCKED OUT big time on Weather Vane.
Structure collapsed, hit the windmill and severed off a huge lump which fell smack on the pipe
Woke up 2 clouds worth of balls and had enough balloons attached to hang on.. phew!

As I said, I think mines a "reasonable" attempt, and looking for confirmation of that.

@Buttersmack
v1.30 lets you try Mom's Computer again...

@All
Eagerly await your results!  ;o)  DaB

Details....DaftasBrush04/18/2009 - 05:44

Hey, figured I should perhaps "come clean" over a couple of things...

1st - My Elapsed Time doesn't include watching the cut-scenes / animations.
I've figured that was an easy way to save a bit of time...
So I've been playing each level that has an animation after it on another profile first...
The playing it in my "Master" profile and just clicking out of the animation.

2nd - I think I've discovered a small bug in the elapsed time!
The above (skipping the animations) doesn't work on the final one, including the credits.
When I finished the final level, the profile said 1:02:?? elapsed time.
So that spurred me to try for a < 1hour attempt.
But when I reloaded the program, and went to delete that profile to start again.,.
I noticed the elapsed time said 59:28..  ???
WOO!  8) Done it!... that was easy!  :P
It looks like it didn't record the time taken for the last animation in the saved data.
So when you reload, the elapsed time is just up to the end point of the final level...
Saved me 3 minutes or so... and got me the < 1hour finish!...  YEY! ;D

@ Stickbomb
actually it's just over 11 minutes,
but that's the time "wasted" on retries (only 2, Hello World ??? and Deliverance)
+ getting from one level to the next, etc...
NOT the playing time!!... (see below)
So don't be too down on your abilities...  ;)

A bit of a breakdown...

My Average Level Time to get OCD = 1:01

100% OCD Completion Times
  Stage  | Total | Elasped |  Playing |
Chapter 1 | 13:17 |  13:17  |  10:56   |
Chapter 2 | 26:19 |  13:02  |  10:39   |
Chapter 3 | 39:35 |  13:16  |  10:56   |
Chapter 4 | 52:10 |  12:35  |  09:24   |
Epilogue  | 59:28 |  09:18  |  06:17   |
