This has been a subject several times already on the mailing list, a message pops up when starting WOG saying a new patch is ready for download, but since the file WOGUpdate.exe does not exist the application hangs and dies.

This message is not the issue here but rather the update itself. It's not been almost 3 weeks since launch and if you 2D boys have'nt just been screwing around with all the other indy developers out there then you should have at least some information about the new patch, for ex when it's coming out, what fixes are attempted fixed and so on.

Please feed my brain with new information.
ps. please feed my cat as well, it's hungry after beeing to the vet for a vasectomy today, harr harr.

There was a sign that a patch was available, but my firewall was being retarded and I had to kill the app.  :(

I think it might havbe gone through, because I've fixed my issues with the firewall,
and now the patch notice does not show up anymore.

When WOG gets a return saying an update it available it tries to run the WOGUpdate.exe file, but that file is not included in the install, I have searched my entire machine and I can find no such file.

I even tried installing on my second machine without vista, but still not WOGUpdate.exe file.

I don't suppose you guys forgot to add the file to the install????

I'm sure we said something about this on the beta lists as well. Is there an update that we just haven't been getting or is the game just messing with our minds?

It should be downloading the file from the server. Don't worry about it though - I don't think it was updating anything critical.

Anyway, the important thing now is completing the remaining 4 chapters! At that time, we'll start putting out bigger updates and rev'ing up the beta program again.
