Linux retail version?

Is there such a thing as a Linux retail version? I want to gift this to somebody and a download version can't be put in a package. ;-)
Specifically I'm looking for a retail version in Germany, but I could probably import from the UK.

Unfortunately, there isn't a Linux retail version as there wasn't a Linux version when the game was released (the Linux version is made after a few months). However, you can download all the installers, burn it on to a CD, and put it in a gift box along with the email with the download links and maybe a message from you. It's not as official, but IMHO it's just as good.

Yeah, I think what GMan said seems like the most appropriate approach.
