Hi all,

I was intestered in the history of goo kicking and how it came about, does anyone have any ideas.

Regards,

LTumbleweed

P.S: I download the wii demo last week and was actually able to do some kicks, it was easier with triangles.

Hmmm...  when i think about it I don't remember when was the first goo kick made :) It must have been Leap Hole.  Goo kicking evolved slowly and quietly.

I can remember some early goo kicks, after Leap Hole came Marius's Rad Carpet, then Kopa's 0 moves Chain, Ivy Tower...   ???   Really don't know how goo kicking came about.

At some time Kopa made  World Of Goo - Throws Compilation

Cheers Pavke, I suppose it was a slow evolution someone once threw a goo by accident or something and a line went up in the air or moved a structure. I can see the evolution of making lines. Alot of the early goo kicking vids tend to make lines in a less efficent way if that makes sense.

Kopas throws compilation is the best WOG video ever made. We need it on WOGFAN lol I want to make a version but I feel it will be an insult to his.

The first time I saw a throw was on this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqlOVEPVSEU so I think it was discovered by Marius at the very beginning of the game or even before. Then I think the thing grew naturally to finally kick a line.

I would be very pleased to see another version of a throw compilation : a new one with all the new levels will certainly be awesome. But I don't really want to put mine on wogfan, sorry.

Thats ok Kopa, its your masterpiece I can see why you wouldn't want it on WOGFAN. BTW how are you, are you playing WOG at all anymore I've kinda assumed you've moved on.

Re: Goo kickingKopa12/29/2009 - 15:21

No I don't play anymore because I'm really too busy at school this year to play. And even if I'm on holiday right now I don't feel like playing WOG :)
