A group councelling thread for anyone stuck on a particular OCD!

OK, me first - how on earth are you meant to get 61 goos on the level with the scraper? You know, the one where there's a chain going round cogs and you use the balloons to get the thing up and... I think it's the 4th level of Chapter 2...?

Anyway, at last count there were only 60 collectable goos on the level, and I can't get the already-fixed goos near the pipe broken up to form more.

Help please!  ???

[spoiler]Raise the bucket shaped thingy up to the pipe then while it is being suctioned build left off of it.  Move the balloons over to the left most part and you can crush up the bucket [/spoiler]

I have a better way. Far more goo. Read the signpost carefully, paying careful attention to what you shouldn;t do with the chain.

And does anyone know how to go OCD on Blustery Day? I tried snapping the chain after using the whistle to get my goo safe, but it just got blown offscreen.

I got blustery day with no trickery just carefully repositioning the balloons so you hug the blade as close as possible

How on earth are you meant to do Product Launcher in 12 moves? At best I can only muster 13...

Errr... isn't that obvious? There's a big thing with spinning blades trying to snap your goo ALL THE TIME!

I think RichiH is talking about the chain in Welcoming Unit; not about Blustery day.

The forcing outwards properties opf green goo may be useful in snapping the chain.

I have absolutely no clue how to rescue 42 goo balls in "weather vane". Getting six was hard enough...
Are all OCDs indeed possible?

All the OCD's are possible.
For Weather Vane- don't forget that the windmill can cut the connections between balls.  I don't want to spoil it for anyone who reads this but if your still stumped, PM me.

The game has only just been released, and you are already going for OCDs?

I am 1/3 through Information Superhighway (with about 4 or 5 skipped levels), and will be very pleased just to finish each level of the game!

I'm kinda stuck on MOM's Computer.

I think I've done something to upset her, because she's not there any more.  Might have something to do with an explosion or something.  ???
I want s'more cookies. :(

I can only seem to get 19 goo's on that level.

Was just about to post the same question.

I suspect the key is to break the existing bridge, using it to grab the sleeping goo. By placing 2 goos on the left platform, I managed to create some violent vibrations and a rumbling noise. So far it didn't break the bridge though.

Hints please!

Breaking the bridge is not the trick.

Maybe you should try to pool all your thinking capabilities into bouncing an idea around in your head that will solve your problem.

If you're stuck on hang low...
[=4pt]Throw an active goo into the pile of sleeping goos to send them flying.  You can wake them all up this way, though it takes a while.  I got 22 on this level.[/]

I'm honestly kind of surprised people are having a hard time with Weather Vane =P  Not to be mean but I OCD'd that one the first time I attempted the level and I didn't just barely do it I managed to do it by 6 =P  Did I just get lucky or something?

I cant figure out the Super Fuse Challenge Time ocd.. Is there a way to break the fuse?

I spent a fair bit of time trying to 'optimize' the fit of the chain over windmill, and ended up everytime messing the whole thing up.

And then, as a result of another restart, I just 'went for it,' and was kind of amazed when I OCDed it. No tricks; just the right flukey combination of balloons in the right place and elementary-supported-catenary-mechanics. I wish I could help you further, but I can confirm you don't need 'tricks' to get this one.

Up and over the top...it would be kind of inefficient to go through since you need to get the goos above anyways.

i just did it in 20 seconds & didn't get OCD.

On Horizontal I've tried making the smallest vertical structure and letting it fall, I'm still short by like 10-15 balls. Have not found a way to break the structure and hang one left on the balloon either.

Upper Shaft, pretty much the same, just can't find the way to raise the ball count. Can you save red balls btw? I save 4 of them from blowing up, but haven't tested if they enter the pipe yet.

I did manage to fly on Horizontal, but I think I already had OCD before I managed to do that... Not sure why it's not working for you.

Yes, the Match Goos can be saved on Upper Shaft.

Oh yeah! 45 balls and OCD on Upper Shaft, that's the hardest one so far, took me 25 minutes. I realised at the end that I could probably save more. I did an error at the end, lost a ball i could've saved, I was so upset, then I realised I had one ball at the pipe. Phew...

It might have been a bug though, because I had two goo balls with the small hook the bomb is attached to in between. I stretched it around a corner and over a rotating blade. The hook might survive, but it looked like the ball string should've snapped.

Rotating blades can cut connections but not the balls, if used carefully enough. It's a feature :D

Ah, right, misunderstood what you meant. I think it's different per level. On Impale Sticky the blade can cut the connections only...
I dunno. It's a little grey-area, but if I were you I'd just run with it. Everyone can do it... (Which is not really an argument, but meh.)

On Horizontal it also pop the balloons, but don't cut the string.

Talking about Horizontal, I hate that level. I have no problem building a tall enough tower, but if I do, I don't manage to topple it over. If I build it slighty angled towards the next pillar it topple over too early and always break so the bottom doesn't follow and comes up short. I could try to do it by flying, but it is possible without. If I strengthen it I get over, but don't have 45 balls left.
