???

i was finished with the game (great by-the-way if only too short)
so i was building my tower.
i was only about a dozen goo balls into the project when the game locked up
i got some sort of exception error in worldofgoo.exe

can't remember exactly cuz everything was jammed and then crash to desktop.

so... i restarted game and my profile was gone!
zip, zero, zilch!

so what happened?

this kinda sucks.
i was all set to break the world record for height!

now i'm back at the start.
probably won't play again until the profanity pack comes out but still...
what happened?  and what can i do to ensure it doesn't happen again?

(this was my first ever lock-up or crash in WOG).
