It's a little unclear at the moment. You see, when you're at the highest point, your tower will be collapsing, and you click exit as fast as you can. But the upload thingey only uploads every second or so, so it's unclear which height you achieved.
So unless you can build a stable tower to actually check, or the leaderboards come online, we don't know for sure.

That said, it's probably around 35 meters (My guess anyway.)

really cause I've made a tower about 40 meters tall and i worked out a way of making the tower stable up too 50 but i haven't done it yet cause you have to be really precise.

...are you sure? because i'm standing at 34.9 metres and currently top the leaderboard...!

Right. My estimates seem to be wildly inaccurate. I haven't spend much time yet on goo corp. My focus is on the individual levels at the moment, as can be seen in my sig ^^

hehe! a whole 0.1 metres innaccurate, shameful xD

Re: what is the height of the tallest tower Marius10/16/2008 - 03:38

If I'm playing for months and I can't even guess the height of the tallest tower to 3 significant digits, then what do I have to show for it? (Well... except my sig :P)

Edit: Are you sure you're at the top though? Since I was just at 35.9, and it said I was 8th of the world... but I'm not sure how fast it updates that stat... Argh damnit I want a leaderboard!

Edit: Checking the video I shot, apparently once every 30(!) seconds... I hope it doesn't upload the score that slowly...

How do you know you're top of the leaderboard, anyway? Is it stable? (If so, kudos! :D)

im pretty sure it was 40. But it did collapse i wasn't paying attention and reinforcing it when it started to tip so it fell and i was sad; but then i just used some high school algebra and figured a way to make a stable one the goes to 50 meters. I haven't made it because it requires you to make the goos in too perfect equilateral triangles for much of the base which is very difficult to do by just eying it. i am getting pretty go usually i just work on pieces at a time maybe getting about 3 levels done at a time trying to stay as perfect as possible,
distributing the weight evenly through out the structure. The easiest way to keep it stable is to use the whistle to keep the goos at the bottom  of the structure. as of right now i may only be at about 12 meters and change.

Tuj, only your current score counts for Goo Corp. So it's nice that you got 40 meters, but if you don't have it anymore, you don't have it anymore. Not even on the leaderboard. But if you can make it to 50 meters and stable, then go for it!

wheres the leaderboard? ???

Re: what is the height of the tallest tower Tuj 0wahahe10/16/2008 - 17:10

yeah i figured it was gone forever but i think i can make it again.  :) so its all good.

Re: what is the height of the tallest tower Marius10/16/2008 - 17:20

Leaderboard isn't online yet, but internally it's already working. If you go to your goo corp tower, you can see clouds. They are downloaded from the leaderboard.

Well every time I've been on there, it's said '1st in world'...granted I haven't checked it today, but yes it is stable with plenty of room for improvement!

Edit: Now at 35.7 meters, 2nd in world - somethings up there...but I can't see your cloud Marius, I however have 2 identical clouds, a by-product of the unpatched first version  :-\

I'm not up there.* I'm on top on a lot of individual levels though. Haven't built an epic tower yet.

*Well, maybe I am, at something like 36-37 meters, but it's unlikely.

Perhaps Uncle Dave has been practicing?
