I just bought the "World of Goo" boxed version in a electronic store (in germany) today and i can't install it on a mac book, because it seems to have only the windows .exe file on it!

The box says PC & Mac!

Why isn't there a Mac version on the CD, although the box and even the CD label show that its compatible with Mac?

Due to this i'm going to return it tomorrow and get my money back ... i'm really disappointed right now.  :-\

I'm going to call the RTL-Games Hotline tomorrow morning, before i bring back the game to the store, and see what they have to say about this.
But it would be great, if there would be a official comment on this here in the forums too.

Same for me. Glad I didn't open the package on 24th of december...

RTL PLAYTAINMENT is even worse then RTL.

I send an email to (as written on package) and (found on website).

Will keep you informed about the reactions  ;D

Yeah, i planed to give WoG as a christmas present to my girlfriend and i'm also really glad, that i decided to try it with her today instead on christmas.

I'll also will keep you up to date, what the RTL Support Hotline will say about this maior issue, but as said before, an official statement would be great.
Perhaps you can get some more and detailed informations about what and why it happened, and of course when there will be a solution for it!

Of course i will buy the game again, when there is a real PC & Mac Reteil boxed version, but a PC & Mac Version, that can't be installed and played with a Mac, is quite useless, isn't it? ;)

ok, i think the hotline guy told me a "solution".

They know about the problem and it seems to be a production error.

Due to that, they are creating replacement CDs with the correct files on it.
To get such a CD, when they are done, you have to write an email to with your adress, a short text that you want a CD with the PC & MAc files and a picture of the CD Box with the receipt.

(Yes, its really without an s in between. ;))

The support guy also told me, that they'll get the discs in the next days, so i really hope they send it out before christmas ... but somehow i doubt it.  :-\

Received a response from them today:

i can second that, also just got the mail yesterday.

BUT don't forget to meantion, taht it might take again several days till they even get the new discs. ;)

But beside that:
Merry Christams to all of Goo ... ehm i mean you! :D

Just to follow up on this, I finally got a replacement 2 weeks ago (yes, May, after complaining in December). And I had sent them the receipt for 3 CDs and they only sent 1 replacement. Well, too late for Christmas, though I hadmade my own CD cases anyway, but ya boo sucks to RTL.
