Copying profiles

Tried the suggestion in the FAQ and had a dig around various directories copying other pers2.dat files but nothing made my laptops install feel the love of the progress I made on my desktop machine.  Is it possible?  Or does Mr. Laptop have to start from scratch?  :'( :'( :'(  What file(s) must be copied where so I can continue my quest on the laptop?  (And then back to desktop when I come back from travelling).

Desktop- Vista x64
Laptop- XP Pro (32 bit)

Both running steam using the same login (though not at the same time, obviously).

So the FAQ is wrong, but copying the file between the directories listed at http://hell.student.utwente.nl/wog/ works fine!  Problem solved :)

Someone might like to put all those data file paths into the FAQ.

Profile locations for all platforms

You can also use GooTool for one-click backup/restore between computers if you need to do it more than once.
