I am running Ubuntu 8.10 and I can't get the sound to work.  I'm using Pulseaudio.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

Someone will jump in soon with more information I'm sure, but in the meantime I believe there's a config variable that you can set in /opt/WorldOfGoo/properties/config.txt to change the audio driver

Could you post the top 20 lines or so from the log file at $HOME/.WorldOfGoo/WorldOfGoo.log? It should at least contain some information on what audio driver the game is using now. Have you verified the game doesn't show up in Pulse Audio's volume control thingy? (It might just be muted or set to a very low volume.)

By the way, you're using the 32-bit edition, right?
