Hi all,

Have just downloaded the demo to try on my Aspire One running Linpus Linux. I assummed that it would be added to the games area but it is not there. I also tried to run it from the command line with
sudo WorldOfGoo
or
WorldOfGoo
All this to no avail.
It installed correctly with no issues so any assistance would be great as I would love to play this game

Many thanks

E
:)

Which package did you try to install, the .rpm, .deb or .tar.gz?

I'm not familiar with Linpus Linux specifically, do you happen to know if it uses RPM or Debian packages, or some other kind of package system? In the last case, you will have to install the game manually. The easiest way is probably to extract the .tar.gz file to your home directory, and then then run it by clicking the WorldOfGoo executable.

Soultaker,

It is based on Fedora so I installed the .rpm

Hope that helps

Ah, in that case, the game should be installed in /opt/WorldOfGoo/. Does that directory exist? If so, you should be able to run the game by executing /opt/WorldOfGoo/WorldOfGoo.

However, the RPM installer is supposed to add an entry in the application menu and a link to the executable in /usr/bin (or something) so something definitely did go wrong during installation. Could you try uninstalling and reinstalling and see if there are any error messages that might give a clue about what's going wrong?
