I don't know what's the pers2.dat file and I don't know how to have or to find it. ???
Is there anybody who can help me? Sorry for my english, I'm italian.

Hi, :)

The pers2.dat file is the file which contain all your game profile : name, game progression, scores for each levels ...etc.
Depending on you game version and on your operating system, it can be found at different places. Here the current paths:
- on Windows: -your-harddisk-/Docs & settings/-your-name-/Local settings/App data/2D Boy/World of Goo/ (I think it's different for Vista but I don't know how)
- on Linux: /home/-your-name-/.WorldOfGoo
- on Mac OS X:  /Users/-your-name-/Library/App support/WorldOfGoo/

if you have 1.30 version then:

On Microsoft Windows XP:
    %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\2DBoy\WorldOfGoo
On Microsoft Windows Vista:
    %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\2DBoy\WorldOfGoo
On Linux (native):
    $HOME/.WorldOfGoo
On Linux using Wine:
    $HOME/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/$USER/Local Settings/Application Data/2DBoy/WorldOfGoo
On Mac OS X:
    /Users/<your username>/Library/Application Support/WorldOfGoo/pers2.dat

Sorry again, but I'm not very good on pc.
How can I find %USERPROFILE%? Can I search pers2.dat with "Search" on Start (I have Windows Xp)?
I downloaded Goo Tool.
I can use WOG and the copy of WOG with the new levels and mods, but it says:

WARING  WARING  WARING

This program is not finished.  It contains bugs.  Use at your own risk.

Be sure to back up your world of goo installation (including your pers2.dat) before proceding.

Go to :
C:/Docs & Settings/-your-username-/Local Settings/Application Data/2DBoy/WorldOfGoo/
Normally, the pers2.dat file is her. :)

Because with "Search" I didn't find it. Now I'll search it in
C:/Docs & Settings/-your-username-/Local Settings/Application Data/2DBoy/WorldOfGoo/

In Application Data I've only Microsoft.
And I haven't any Local Settings.

Go to Control Panel end enable ""show hidden files and folders". Then you can see Local Settings!  ;)

You can also enter "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\2DBoy\WorldOfGoo" in the Run dialog (Win-R, or Run... in the Start menu) to open the folder, even though it's normally hidden.

my pers2.dat stopped rewriting itself even though i've gotten better scores, a nice tower and stuff
doesnt matter if i try to upload it... the site will always show the damn 1.1m triangle ):
any help? ;<
