Does the Mac version have a bug? (Floating point rounding, etc)keybounce04/19/2009 - 00:48

I have been trying to duplicate what I see here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEGaICM6q04&feature=related
and I am unable to.

This is Ode to the bridge builder, OCD +1, and I'm using the demo version on the Mac.

My problem is that I am unable to finish the stretch across the gap. The length of the chain needed to cross the gap seems to be sufficient to hit the "kill zone" at the bottom, and the move that reinforces the bridge from the underside in the video does not have any noticable effect on the mac version.

What am I doing wrong? Does this work on the mac? Is there a floating point issue? (I've seen it in other games, so ...)

I don't understand.
I've seen the video and it looks pretty normal.
With the reinforcing move, it's all about trajectory.
If you get it just right, you don't need anything else.
Also: the right cliff is very sticky.
