World of goo demo not working?!!

I have downloaded the demo and the patch and installed both but still not working

I get music playing but no picture all it says is no valid connection found. (as if the cable was unplugged, which it isn't)

is cos i am using a DVI cable, or is that just wishful thinking?

so you installed the patch for the full game on the demo, oh dear, bad move.

Yeah, what spazturtle said. Also, don't try to run GooTool against the demo, it won't work. :(
If you, don't know what GooTool is, I feel terribly sorry for you and suggest you search it on this forum. :-\
