World of Goo demo not starting (Xp)

I downloaded the demo last night and the game decided not to run. When I click on the icon my screen goes to black and I get a really bad resolution mouse cursor on my screen. When I hit Ctrl + Alt+ Delete it says World of Goo isnt responding, but it wont let me end the task and I end up having to restart my computer in order to get out of the screen. What do I do cause I really want to try this out. | ||
