Complete system freeze on startup!

Have a pretty, brand new Lenovo Ideapad Y550 running Windows Vista 64-bit. I was so excited to play WOG on the new, speedy laptop. I installed the latest version from the 2dboy website tonight but when I went to run the program, I got a black screen and then nothing. It was a total system freeze too, the hard-drive seemed to be working hard trying to load it but I couldn't seem to get out of the black screen via an ALT+Tab or Ctrl+ALT+Delete. Unfortunately I had to just shut-down the system and restart. I tried someone's suggestion of running the program as an administrator but that didn't work...another system restart (poor hard drive). I also saw the post about Threatfire but I do not have that malware program, I'm running Comodo. Also thought about updating all the drivers but there are not any new drivers out for this lappy as it is brand new. | ||

I was trying to find out what was causing the same issue, and when I read your post, I realized that it was Comodo firewall messing things up. So, to fix your problem, go into Comodo and set it to "training mode". hopefully this should make things work. |
