Sound problems in OSX.

I have version 1.30 running on OSX (10.5.7) and I get no sound when the sound device is set to FireWire 410 Multichannel. 

(The FireWire 410 is one of these: http://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-FireWire-410-Recording-Interface/dp/B0000TP588).

When I set the Audio Device to "Line Out" and plug headphones in the front of my mac I hear things just fine.

sorry to resurrect this thread, but I have exactly the same issue

no sound when using either a firewire or usb external device on my Mac Pro (3,1 - OS X 10.5.8) however the front panel headphone jack works fine
