Game speed way too fast

Hi,

I'm running Ubuntu linux 9.04, on an older desktop computer with an Nvidia card. 

When the game starts, the sound is garbled and the game is impossible to play because it's all happening too fast.

Is there any way to slow it down?

Hmm, timing is handled by SDL, but I don't see why it would be broken on your system.

Something you could try, is to delete the files libSDL-1.2.so and libSDL_mixer-1.2.so.0 from /opt/WorldOfGoo/libs2 and install Ubuntu's libsdl1.2debian and libsdl-mixer1.2 packages instead (if you don't have them already).
