Will I get updates or is it only for the current version? How are updates issued when they come out?
and I'd really like to gift this to someone, but they don't have the same email as me and I don't see where the customization link is located in the email from my previous purchase of the game.

These are the only issues I'm having. thanks for the great work 2D Boy

All updates are announced on the forum, you can download them from there.
You can also re-download the installer.

There should be a customize link in the email, or if you cant find it add &op=gift to the end of the download link address and then you can customizes it.
