Hi all,
I just bought this game yesterday... did a couple of level and then the game just makes Access Violation at the 4th or 5th level and I can't go further...

No idea what goes wrong, but have you tried installing the 1.30 patch? Steam will only auto-patch to 1.20... |
If you don't have enough RAM, something like that would happen. As Soultaker said, install the patch, because the Steam version is tethered and that sucks. Of course, you won't get achievements. |

I installed patch 1.30 but the problem isn't solved. The game still jams at the 4th level. The values of the error message changed actually :

I don't think this is a ram issue, I memtested it and both ram are fine. There's something really weird going on. I tried to open the game from Steam and from the exe and from both ways I got the error...

You sure you installed the patch to the right place? Should be something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\worldofgoo. |
I'm having this problem as well (Access Violation when trying to run it.) I'd really like an answer as to why this is happening and how to fix it. I'm running a non-Steam version of the game and have upgraded to 1.30. I'm running 32-bit Win XP with 1GB of RAM and a Pentium D 3.2 MHz CPU. I have an NVIDIA Quadro FX 540 with 128 MB RAM. Yes of course :) Just tried it again and it didn't work...

Just remembered something. Have you tried to run it as Admin? |
I just ran the update again as admin and been able to do the 4th level.
Unfortunately, the game did the error on the 5th level... once again, the values have changed ...
