i have reinstalled the game time after time, and gotten the same exact crash.txt. ill try to redownload it, and see of that gets better results.

Is it a Steam version?

if steam is a gaming service, then, no i bought world of goo from the 2d boy site.

i have run into the solution. since this was a new install of winxp, i had to get all my common apps, itunes being one of them. when i ran itunes, i would get a message that said something about not finding a sound device, so playback may be effected. i would just ignore it and go about my business. then it hit me. i didnt have my sound driver installed. so i installed it, restarted like it said, then out of curiosity, ran WoG, hoping that the driver might have been it. well, it turns out that it required the ability to play sound, and it cant do that when there is no driver to help play sound! so that was all there was to it. super easy.

It's odd that WoG should crash without a sound card, as sound isn't even essential when playing the game. Glad you got it solved.
