I just got this game last night via the Humble Bundle, and it won't start when I run the application. I'm on Windows Vista 32-bit with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series as my laptop's graphics card. For the error, it simply says "WorldOfGoo.exe has stopped responding", and puts this into the crash.txt file:

Exception: Access Violation (code 0xc0000005) at address 004B1C57 in thread F50

Module: WorldOfGoo.exe

Logical Address: 0001:000B0C57

0012EEBC 004B1C57 0001:000B0C57 WorldOfGoo.exe

Params: 003305B2 00000007 00000000 00000000

StackWalk failed (error 299)

EAX:005E3990 EBX:003305B2 ECX:00000000 EDX:004B1C50 ESI:00619C48 EDI:00000007

EIP:004B1C57 ESP:0012EE0C EBP:0012EEBC

CS:001B SS:0023 DS:0023 ES:0023 FS:003B GS:0000

Flags:00210246

Windows Ver: NT 6.0 Service Pack 1 Build 6001

Update your graphic card driver and DirectX. Also, you might want to check your sound card driver. If non of the above work, try running WoG as admin.

(And if you have the Steam version, run it from Steam.)

Running as admin worked (I saw this method earlier today on a different topic), but is there a way to run it as admin through Steam? I didn't purchase it through Steam, but I added the .exe to the games list.

I don't know anything about Windows 7 but do the instructions given here help at all?
