I have win xp pro sp3 swedish. The thing here is that the pers2.dat-file is never created at all. I have done the admin-solution to WorldOfGoo-folder, but it didn't help. I've tried copying a friend's pers2.dat to my WorldOfGoo-folder but still no profiles in my game. Reinstalled to different locations, but still nothing.
Btw, my Documents And Settings-folder is called Användare(it means Users in swe). I know it's supposed to be called Användare instead of Documents And Settings in Vista, but that's the way it is in my XP for some reason.

If someone has a solution or something else I can try out, please post it here!
Really hope you can fix this, I'm dying to play this great game =)

we heard of that problem happening in the czech version as well.  it will be addressed in a patch soon (in about two weeks i think)

Nope, that didn't help either =(
