World of Goo seems to work fine on my laptop, but I can't get it to work on my desktop. When I click on the application exe or on the shortcut, nothing ever happens. I see WorldOfGoo.exe in the task manager, always around 3k memory usage, but I can't see it in the task bar, I can't alt-tab into. Nothing. No sound, nothing. Zero CPU usage from the task, etc. My Laptop is: Windows XP Media Center HP Pavillion dv9000 2 GB RAM nVidia GeForce Go 6150 My Desktop: Windows Vista x64 Intel Q9450 4GB RAM EVGA 790i Ultra 9800GX2's Quad-SLi ASUS Xonar D2

It's a bit difficult to diagnose with the info given, so I can only suggest the usual steps.. Try Running in 32-bit compatibility mode, try disabling firewall/av software and reinstalling, try trashing the pers.dat file... Hope this helps and let us know how you get on.
