I just got the mac version of woG, and it runs sort of slow. its a tad delayed. I have a a Macbook pro with 2.4ghz duo, and 4 gigs of ram... this should be running really smooth..

On Mac does it run fullscreen? Does it still run slow in a window? Have you tried changing the config file to match your monitor's native res?

sorry, the two people I know with mac & goo say it works great.  They've got the intel mac's though, if that matters.

but as with PC advice, double check the video drivers & make sure they're updated.

I'm having the same problem on my macbook pro (same specs as yours from the sounds of it).  I have windows installed with bootcamp, so I installed the game on windows and it runs great.

I have all the latest drivers for my mac but on the levels with a lot of goo balls the game slows to about 3 FPS despite the fact that it's running with a NVIDIA 9600GT.  I think the mac version of World of Goo is in need of an update.

I am running WorldOfGoo on a Macbook Pro and it is running fine for me.

At the moment it's not clear whether it's running badly on your system
for some reason, or whether your system is slow generally, or whether
you have a lot of software using up resources.

Here are some suggestions.

1 - Try running Goo after a reboot.  Does that change anything?

2 - Use Activity Monitor (this is a utility you can find using
Spotlight) and look to see if you have other programs using a lot
of CPU time or real RAM, by sorting by these columns.

3 - Let us know what version of the operating system you're using in
     About this Mac.

To be clear, I don't work for or with or know the 2dBoy folks.  I just
kinda know my way aroud computers and am running the game OK.  I don't
know my laptop's hardware stats (it's not here) but it was new in
September and has only 2 gigs of ram.

I have the same problem as well. :'(
I am running on a MBP of OSX 10.5.5, 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, GeForce 8600M GT
When the game is running the CPU count is below half, and i'm under 800x600 resolution only...
The game is VERY lag..please help!
Thanks!
