How to whistle (gooball attraction)?

IN youtube videos I see an ability in some walkthrough videos (I admit I get stuck sometimes hehe) to "attract" the gooballs by playing music or whistling.

How can this be done on the PC version, please?

You need to unlock it, which happens during chapter 2. Then, just click and hold to make the whistle sound.

Oddly enough, it's not working for me.

I can click and hold for awhile (I'm on the regurgitation pumping station level) and nothing happens.

Ah, but do you recall what I said before? You don't unlock the feature until partway through Chapter 2. By what you said, you only seem to be in chapter 1.
