just got an email from matt about how the world of goo and ThreatFire can peacefully co-exist:

    Open up threatfire
    Go to advanced rules
Press the custom Rule Settings button
Go to the process lists tab and press "New..."
Find worldofgoo.exe from the list and select it and press OK

Tried it and it doesn't work. (Running WinXP SP3 w/Threatfire)

The only solution that works.....(from this thread http://2dboy.com/forum/index.php/topic,287.0.html)
"As of yet, the only way to solve this issue is to shut down ThreatFire before
playing your game, however this will compromise the security of your
system. In order to shut down ThreatFire, you must hold ctrl and
right-click on the tray icon, selecting "exit." then, in a run command,
type "net stop threatfire" and this will shut down ThreatFire, instead of
having to uninstall."
