In the goo world, when goo dies, the rest should be lighter right? Well, in the Epilogue, on Infesty the Worm, I dangled the worm over the precipice of infinite falling death, killed a few goo blobs, but it didn't lighten the chain. I thought I could whistle all unused goo to one end, kill some, and then cartwheel over to the finish. However, the chain stops it's fall and just sits in mid-air without rising. Now, goo blobs don't necessarily die from fear of height, as they seem they might from this level, so, maybe could there be some other/different sound effect(s)? The not rising part is actually realistic though, as the goo blob-balls shouldn't actually die.

Actually, what you are describing sounds like the proper technique to achiev OCD on the Infesty level. Maybe something went wrong with the speed of the fall or something. When I do it, I'm normally left with 3 blocks of the original 8, which can then be easily cartwheeled over to the right. See, eg:

Actually, the physics of the situation are perfectly accurate. It's the same reason trains can't stop instantly. There's too much force pushing the front for it to slow down. |
