World of Goo is one of the few games I can play on my netbook but it would be nice to play it on my desktop as well without having to sync up my save manually.  Also if I bring my steam account to someone else's computer to play with it, it would be nice to have my save game without having to carry it with me.

most (all?) steam games keep the data files on your local hard drive.  To do something like what you want a master server would be needed that would store all the game data for each player.  I'm pretty sure that's beyond the $$ means of the dev's.  Unless Valve implements something like that for all steam games for no extra $$.

GooTool 0.10.3 (the next version coming soon) has the feature to backup/restore your profile to goofans.com.

Steam Cloud only suppotrs L4D right now.

They're supposed to port it to other games eventually, but not yet..

MY bet is it'll apply to Valve games first, and 3rd party games eventually..
