back! and good job, your right!!!!! ;D

Re: trivia with nic!Nic Freed01/17/2009 - 17:00

next question!!! and no hints unless you really need it!

"how many letters are there in the greek alphabet?"

good luck, and remember, no looking it up, online or offline, pure knowledge only!

Re: trivia with nic!Soultaker01/17/2009 - 20:40

If I remember correctly, 24?

- alpha
- beta
- gamma
- delta
- epsilon
- phi
- chi
- psi
- zeta
- eta
- theta
- iota
- kappa
- lambda
- mu
- nu
- omicron
- pi
- rho
- sigma
- tau
- omega
- upsilon
- xi

Though not necessarily in that order... It's been 10 years since I learned (some) Greek in high school, and I forgot almost everything about it, though the letters (and their names) are often still useful to know.

Re: trivia with nic!Nic Freed01/17/2009 - 21:26

Re: trivia with nic!Nic Freed01/18/2009 - 20:15

Re: trivia with nic!Soultaker01/19/2009 - 10:17

Does the original Casino Royale count?
(Not sure if it's the first, but it is pretty old.)

No it's not.  >:(

I gave that answer without looking it up. I only looked it up when you claimed Dr. No was incorrect.

According to Wikipedia, the original Casino Royale was not a film, but a television program.

Re: trivia with nic!Nic Freed01/19/2009 - 21:51

after deep consideration, i decided you both get a point  :)

mainly because i cant find out who is right  :P

Re: trivia with nic!Nic Freed01/22/2009 - 14:32

Man, this is an old thread. I'd like to see a new question, though. If I were to ask one, it would be:

What day is Yakiniku Day, and what year was this made official?

Re: trivia with nic!Nic Freed11/20/2009 - 23:37

Nice to see this thread again, I missed it  ::)

Oh, sorry. I've got to explain this.
You see, I got kind of tired of Delta's spam, so I got into her account. (The password's not that hard to figure out, it's 'i love sticky'.) I was about to delete it (Heartless, sorry) when she walked up to me (Yes, we actually know each other). I pretended to be on my account and made a few posts. She saw that I was on hers and demanded to know why. Seeing no point in lying, I admitted my plans. She slapped me across the face, deleted her account herself, and never wanted to see me again. I feel really depressed, but that's not really your issue. I'll get through this. I'm sorry that I made you angry, Delta. You wouldn't stop spamming, but I'm really sorry. I hope we can get back to being friends. And maybe a little more...

Oh, and the answer to this question is August 28, 1993.

And I realize this sounds REALLY dumb. I just didn't want another WrectHead.
Wow. Not to invade your personal business or anything, but I think you should apologize.

Re: trivia with nic!Nic Freed11/27/2009 - 13:41

Man, this forum has been like a soap opera lately, first with the heartfelt Sticky-Wrecthead fiasco, and now this!

*Gets popcorn*

Alright, whats next?

I'll try, once she answers the phone.

Here's a trick: when calling, put a [*67] before the number, and you'll come up as "Unknown", or "Anonymous", or (insert a word here that means "anonymous" or "unknown"). She won't know it's you!

Ahh, here is one! In music, what is a fugue?

--Nic

Re: trivia with nic!AldenteVonTino01/11/2010 - 15:21

I believe a fugue involves more than one voice in a composition that are contrary, but yet function together well.
I have to look this up to be sure, but this is my guess, and I shall not correct it if I am wrong! :o
