I saw on dailymotion[dot]com a cheat for worldofgoo which doesnt work for me for some reason. You type in 3 Profile usernames- 1st world  2nd Of  3rd Goo

Youre suppose to get 300 balls a game and the Continue lever comes down as soon as the level starts... Anyway search World Of Goo Cheats under videos on dailymotion and look, It was on a French version of the game so maybe thats why it doesnt work for me... Anyway PO'ed me that it didnt work...


I will figure this max 300 limit goo ball corp hack out though...Since no one here wants to help.....Peace

I think it is a hoax.

Also, what is the point? Why play World of Goo at all if you are going to skip levels instead of playing them? (There is already a built-in possibility to skip levels if you get stuck, so you don't need any cheats for that.)

Hmm if this is a hoax, it's a pretty elaborate one, and I don't understand why they would have gone to that effort... Look how the continue handle appears while the screen is still letterboxed, and consider the effort involved in editing the (moving) screens to replace the balls text with 300/296/etc.

I don't believe it's a hoax, but I can't reproduce it even in the 1.00 version of the game.

Thinking about it, maybe it was something put into the game for quickly testing translations - if the level is instantly completed, you can access all signposts which is all you need to verify a translation.

Why would it be a hoax, that makes no sense. I think it only works for the french version and what ever his version is 1.0 - 1.3 etc. No matter anyway..... Im making a HACK where you can extend the length of the goo balls path, and the goo ball connection strenth....  Thx to someone on here forgot who, that mentioned the IDA program that dissasembles the games executable language that communicates with the CPU...You can edit anything, I can make 1 goo ball extend up to 15 x it's original programmed length. Also in the world of goo corporation there is a CONNECT button to go online thats on the sign, so you can build with 1,500 goo balls without even being connected(For you leader board police)    Anyway  happy gaming...

honestly, i think that if you modify the game is not the same thing, the original version is always the right one to get people to play a fun game, and without cracks or the like. bet the editor of levels and lead to a world of goo 2 with the highest levels included should be the goal more like;). I believe that.

I highly doubt that 2D Boy would intentionally put a way to cheat the game, especially regarding the plague of cheaters on the scoreboard and the extent to which they are going to control them. Even if you were to hack the game, what purpose would that serve? You would be recognized for cheating. You are not meant to get over 300 goo there. It is as plain as that.

If you guys have tried it and it doesn't work then its probably a hoax. I think the guy in the video has edited the WorldOfGoo.exe so that the levels finish as soon as you start them and you get 300 balls. He's probably just trying to cover it up by using the 3 profile names...

IT IS NOT CHEAT. IT IS FAKE. AND WORLD-OF-GOO IS TRICK. THAT GUY MADE THIS WITH CHEATENGINE OR ARTMONEY OR SOMETHING LIKE THIS, HE FINED OUT ADDRESS, WHICH CONTAINS NUMBER OF 'COLLECTED BALLS' AND AFTER IT HE SET VALUE OF IT 300 AND FROZEN IT, SO WHEN HE ENTER LEVEL, GAME ENGINE THOUGHTS THAT PLAYER COLLECTS 300 BALLS AND WIN LEVEL!!!! ;)

Golle88's original message probably had a link to a cracked WoG.exe ("try this executable.")
Soultaker "moderated" the message by removing the link, crossing out the message (so you could see what the purpose of the original message was) and added why in blue, a colour often used by moderators on many forums to show what comments they have added to the original post.

Although how a cracked .exe can ruin the official leaderboard when it hasn't been running AT ALL this year is beyond me... ;)

As I've said before, if you want to experiment with more than 300 balls, there are perfectly good sandbox levels (such as the Infinitive Windows Freezer) you can use. If you want a hacked .exe to take advantage of the state saving in WoGC then also disable the online updates and I'll allow it.

@TheHermit: you have a point, but the leaderboards aren't completely broken; the in-game score reporting is working fine.

wat he could be doing is using cheat engine.

u just find the value of the good balls then u fix it to 300.

but u usually have to be runing cheat engine ine game so he might be using another haxx program.

And you can beat World of Goo without cheating - just find guides! You don't need cheats.

a cheat like this would really only be fun after youve beaten the game so you could mess around on the lvls with a whole crap ton of balls. the game is not so hard to beat that you need to cheat to beat it, and hacking to get high on the leader bods is just lame, imo.

IMHO, to hack or cheat is not any way to find out if you truly have what it takes. Once you cheat or hack to 'win', the actual game itself is lost.
