This mod has very simple story about crash in Desert and Goo migrate via bizzare worlds. ;D etc Deserts, Frozen Lands and other attractive countries

That's a pretty weird link in the second screen :p.
I'd love to put some time in this 'level making' myself, but I'm awfully busy (or that is the excuse I'm trying to make here). Still, keep up the good work. That looks pretty good.

This might not be the best place to do it, but good job's to everyone working on gootool, the editor, levels, mods, skins and whatever. You are all doing a great job :D.

It would be cool and usefull if someone made a tutorial about "making new levels".

A step-by-step doc for instance and explainations.. Cause at the moment it's a bit confused.

Where can i download "far lands" and how can i integrate it into my world of goo game?

Far Lands is not comlete. I'm Graphic designer and I don't have free time to finish now.
I want to finish in 1q 2009.
Far lands is free, You must buy original game from  2D boy.

Creating new levels take moore time. I Have to modificate original Bin files and I write new content that loading levels correctly.

I want release demo version of world of goo: Far lands in classic world of goo demo with (first)Desert adventure epizode.

Well, I have too much ideas to integrate them all in one game I think  :P, but let me know if you need help with levels or the design.
Though the idea for the world is not that good, but it's changeable. (You don't need to change it  ;))

That looks incredible. It looks like you'll be taking mostly a puzzle approach without any, or few, bridge bilding levels. This is exactly what I want in world of goo. I can't wait to play it!

Far lands are based on puzzles. I dont work on story because Levels are in different environments.  For example: In level 06 You have to use explosives to removing stone Barriers etc

I agree! Yes, it is awesome. It supposed to be free. It isn't a new game just heavy modification of WoG.
Concept is good. There is no story just chapters of different places in the world, desert, ice lands, volcano....

There are to possibilities: He got sick and tiered of WoG and code modification and he through WoG completely or something really happened to him. :(

I googled "world of goo: far lands download", and i found lots of them. Not sure if they work, tho. All the websites require you to sign up.

Exactly! Since WoG is popular, maybe... the ones i saw were viruses. Ones that actually screw up your WoG and put in a virus at the same time.

BTW: I'd say that the official WoG site is www.worldofgoo.com, and 2DBoy.com is the official website of... well... 2D Boy. (Sorry, i can't help myself from correcting stuff. :))

Jmleleven, please don't be a jerk.

Sadly i agree with jmleleven, the problem i have with the gooballs is that they look very cel-shaded and this does not fit in with the game style

Hmm, the art looks great to me! It's definitely a different style than Kyle's, but that was to be expected; after all, every artist has his own distinct style.

Yeah, and a different style is the point of this mod, i assume. :D

Agreed with jmleleven and spazturtle, i liked the previous look of the Goo balls, but that's YOUR mod, so do what you want (obviously, eh).

Also, a name for each level seems a good idea.
And yes, the map doesn't look like a (sand) desert to me. Looks like a desert though, in the "there's nothing to see but a repetitive pattern" meaning.

Yay, in fact i totally agree with jmleleven. But i will be nothing but happy if/when your mod becomes real, even if things stay as the video shows them. Keep up the really good work, Hany !

Brilliant addition to WOG, with some really clever ideas and great graphics. Some levels need polishing and tweaking, but overall first rate.
btw did you always intend to rewrite WOG and not just produce new levels that could be incorporated into WOG via GooTool, using the goomod format?

Umm... did i miss something, or was there supposed to be no new levels, and my profile gets screwed up?

I found it worked really well as a stand alone. All I had to do, unpack rar, made backup of pers2.dat, (although on Vista it did not use this?) and ran WOG_Far Lands.exe.
You get a new menu, chapter 1 only so far. Hope more to come as this is the best collection of new levels. Level 5 is outstanding and level 7 is a real test of your WOG skills and patience.
So jmleleven, not sure why it did not work for you?

Hey, Can it work with the demo? Because its only one chapter and the demo has only 1 chapter, can it work or not?

Far lands is Stand alone application. You don`t need a full or demo version

There were two missing program files in the file i downloaded: SDL.dll, and WorldOfGoo.exe.

Well, Mabey when you are done, you could make a world of goo in space game or a world of goo 2 (becuse 2dboy won't make one).

One note for linux users: how to run it on Linux.

Just make a copy of your Linux installation of original game in another directory,
and replace there directories "./properties" and "./res" with the same ones from "World of goo: Far lands Chapter 1" archive.

Hello there, i am new to the forums and i couldn't help but to notice this thread. It caught my attention since i am a graphic designer and i love moding; because of this i went through the 10 pages of post and caught that in one of them henry state he released a tutorial on how to mod the game to change the layout, remove the levels on  each chapter and add your own but i failed to see the link to such tutorials. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
