The new prediction algorithm in Google Flight will use all available data about the flight, taking into account when and for what reasons it was previously delayed. Based on these data, the service will calculate the approximate time of the possible delay and notify the user if its probability is 80%. The company, however, insists that such a prediction is only a possibility, and that in any case the passenger must arrive at the airport on time.

In addition to predicting the possible delay, the service will also inform about all the parameters of the ticket chosen by the passengers: if the price includes additional luggage or the option of choosing a seat in the cabin. This feature, however, until now is only available for flights of American airlines: American, Delta and United Airlines.
