hey did you notice that you got new badge.what was wrong in my mod
Crazeh man!
Mon, 07/06/2009 - 09:49
Cool! Badge!
Much of it. Download it and unzip it and compare it to you first. .xml's were mising and you had much unnecessary .png's and .bin and .ogg's, you don't need that, just .png called body1.png with a new image in override and balls.xml.xsl and resources.xml.xsl in merge folder.

options, resources and properties of that what you are changing. Unzip it and compare it to your first and you understand.

actually, looking through the WoG directory... rename the .png to body2.png, as it is called there, and delete the .xsl's. In my "How-to", i say that body.png is for MOST of them. But, you should always check for the name.
P.S. I like how shiny they look!

Pavke,in the version 1.1 of my mod i saw that there are no merge folder but it has thumbs.db in override folder what thumbs.db did you use(from goocola folder or baloon folder)
it sounds like it's easier to make a working mod. Please tell me what thumbs.db do i have to use.

Do you remember that I made merge folder with that .xml's that you didn't understand? Well you don't need that .xml's. jmeleven pointed that out to me and he made a new version. I uploaded it for him, now he is coauthor. And that thumbs.db is nothing. It is just a assistant file blah blah blah... just leave it, it isn't important

if i use the same thumbs.db for my mod to make new mods and they will work?
Crazeh man!
Wed, 07/08/2009 - 07:29
In fact, those (damn) thumbs.dbs shouldn't even exist in any file anyone distributes to any amount of other people.
They don't do ANYTHING useful in most cases. (It's a file Windows creates to speed up display of a directory with images in it.)

"It's a file Windows creates to speed up display of a directory with images in it."
That's right! I was to lazy to tipe that!
Just forget about it Joris, it is nothing, it does nothing in the mod.

Wed, 07/08/2009 - 07:48

Maybe because thumbs.db is yours, you made the 1.1v, still.... I can play it with 0.10.222 gootool.

"jmeleven, maybe it's body2.png becausethe first body is the original bodyand the second body is from the addin." No, look in the original WorldofGoo folder. it's body2.png. Maybe 2DBoy originally made two bodys for it, and in the end decided to keep only the second one.

Mods should be distributed with no Thumbs.db files in them. I could have GooTool automatically exclude them but I consider it an author error and I'd end up having to exclude a whole bunch of stuff like .DS_Store from the Mac etc... Hmm. For now make sure your mods don't have Thumbs.db in them!
