So for those who are interested, here is an update on this new goomod I've been working on:
Chapter 1 is almost done. I have devised a new method on creating this goomod, and I think it will help a lot. That method is as follows:
As I finish each of the five chapters, I'm going to create the goomod chapter by chapter. That basically means that Chapter 1 will be created, merged, and tested. When it works without the game crashing, I will add Chapter 2 on top of that, test it, then do Chapter 3, and so on and so forth.
TL;DR: When Chapter 1 is finished, it will be put into the goomod, tested, and then left alone for Chapters 2-5 to placed in along with it.
I realized over making the IWT mod that editing Chapter 1 is a big pain. And I think that's where I went wrong: all of the chapter maps had the ID in the folder of "IMF_Level_x" (where x is the number of the chapter). Now that I am doing a new one, I will stick to the original naming of the chapters, but their IDs will be "islandxA" (the A is to separate these chapter maps from the original, and x is the number of the chapter).
But overall, this mod is going good. And I am looking forward to continue on this mod in the upcoming days.
