Why cant I see the name clouds in goo corp?

Why cant I see the name clouds in goo corp? I could see them when I got the game but ever since the birthday sale stared I can't see them. Is anyone else having this problem? Please help!
Everyone's having this problem. Rumour was that it was caused by 2D Boy's servers being overloaded, but the problem persists.
Probably they've just disabled all the leaderboard stuff to reduce server load. Which is f***ing ridiculous since I was offering for six months to handle all that for them on this server (and wrote all the supporting code for it only to have them lose interest in replying).
That sucks, wish they had taken you up on that offer! But thank for the fast reply.
Davidc, is there any evidence to support that claim? While it seems plausible, I still demand evidence!

Evidence is that you can't connect to WoG Corporation.
And that only means 2D Boy has shutdown their server.

I enjoy this goo-d game. This is goo-der than goo-d game even. Goo-d gift from goo-d friend! Saw clouds in WOGC behind my goo-d tower many times. Now, no clouds again.
This not goo-d. Do see goo-d billboards ok, so goo-d internet connection.
Can I get goo-d help with this, please?

I'm assuming that everyone experienced the same behavior. I'm guessing that the cloud displays are a little too much for their servers right now, but other things like the billboards are more easily handled. Just be patient. They're obviously making some adjustments on the server end.

The script that communicates with the game disables itself for a few seconds if it detects the server is overloaded, which results in the error message you see in the game. This weekend there was a big sale on Steam, which resulted in lots of people playing this weekend, and probably freaked out the server a little.

I don't think Steam has anything to with it. World of Goo Corporation "multiplayer" clouds are handled by 2d Boy servers.
You should download 1.3 patch and click Connect in Corporation billboard.
