WoG Technical Suggestion (especially for 2D Boy!)

One frequent problem we have is when we're trying to build the structure to the pipe. There are one of these two things:

A) You are working with your ivy balls and there are so many of them going in from of one goo-ball you want to remove from your structure to reattach somewhere else. You end up grabbing the goo-ball scurrying on top, placing it, and making the structure unstable, and you watch in horror as you run out of time-bugs and a massacre of goo begins.
B) You are trying to catch a scurrying goo-ball to place somewhere, but you end up accidentially taking an ivy ball behind the ball you wanted, causing the structure to lose its support or stability and fall over. You watch in horror as another time-bugless massacre emerges.

Well, my idea is to prevent either A or B from happening by having two seperate buttons to be clicked whether you want to remove a scurrying ball or a placed ivy ball. My idea is (PC only) that when the LEFT mouse button is clicked, a scurrying ball is removed if possible. Clicking the RIGHT mouse button picks up an ivy goo-ball you already placed. It only works on PC, I have no knowledge of Linux mouses and Macs only have one button, but the method for PC seems good enough!

Please consider this, 2D Boy, and try to make this possible, for the sake of the players and the tens upon tens of murdered goo-balls.

agreed!!! it will also be very usefull in the wog corp, hudreed of balls in a small structure could be very annoying when you wish to take out a placed goo

Agreed, that kind of functionality would have been a nice thing to have in WoG.
In addition, WoG is missing a controlled way to select a ball of a specific type out of a crowd. That could be solved by automatically sorting balls of rare types (relative to the rest of the balls) on the specific structure or part of structure to the "top" or e.g. doing so on key press, Shift for example. The latter seems to be a better approach, as in many cases you want to be able to grab a ball of the predominant type on that structure fast.

I too agree, but there are two problems...

2D Boy is never going to update WoG, probably.

2D Boy never visits this site so it's unlikely they will see this.

Yes, it's really too bad that it's extremely unlikely that there'll ever be an official new update or expansion pack or whatever for WoG...
Let's hope they release the source code on WoG's second anniversary or something like that.
Or maybe there will be a mega surprise Christmas present this year, but I doubt it.
