I've been talking with Jeremie over at GameGround recently about their exciting new project. They've developed a website that integrates and extends a bunch of existing games - World of Goo being the latest addition - to let you play with friends, issue challenges, and earn achievements. A small plugin runs on your computer to share your accomplishments on the website.

The site is currently in beta testing and I've got 25 access keys exclusively for World of Goo fans to try it out before the public launch. Check out their introduction below, and e-mail Jeremie if you'd like to join in:

We're a gaming startup looking for 25 avid World of Goo players to help beta-test GameGround, a new gaming website!

GameGround is a next generation gaming site that wants to give you more ways to discover, play and progress in your games! For World of Goo, we've created a new layer of XP and achievements for both the regular game and Tower of Goo modes. Our technology will keep track of your fastest level completions, highest towers and other cool metrics - and you can even suggest new achievements for us to add to the system!

The time commitment will be low - we'll mostly just ask you to play games from home, answer a few surveys and help us identify bugs or ways to make the site better. Beyond this initial beta-testing program, there will be other opportunities to help us with development and be recognized as a VIP member of our community!

Let us know if you're interested in joining! E-mail us with a little info about you (name, age, location) to jeremie@gameground.com and what other kind of games you like to play and we'll get back to you with more details. For more info about us, check out gameground.com. We're currently in a closed alpha, but will be giving permanent accounts to all participants.

Thank you!
