World of Goo Corporation VERY slow on iPhone 4

I reset hit the reset button on my tower on the World of Corp. and now the screen update is VERY slow (1 frame ever 1-2 seconds!). I have about 200 goo balls. Is this to be expected, or is there something I can do to make this playable?

In the Pc also happens, Is the heavy process of graphics,loading 200 balls with animations, preloaded string information,this make this process slow, wait a moment, like 1 minute And it will run normally.

Well, I've waited a minute, an hour, and even left the game up all night. It's still incredibly slow. I've painfully connected about 40 of the goo-balls in hopes that once I had a sizable number of balls together, things would speed up. Actually, it seems like it's gotten slower and I'm having a hard time even finding the other 160 balls.
Any other suggestions on how to speed things up?
