Chapters 1 through 3 are now released as a total conversion! The original levels are available through a modified version of WorldSpin used on island1.

Since this is an ENORMOUS file I'm not able to upload it here. Here's a Dropbox link for now. Sorry about this, I'll get it up as soon as possible.

If you find the electrical particle effects overwhelming, install the "electone" addin from the Archived section as well. That'll reduce the intensity a bit.

Note: this is NOT an official expansion and is not connected to the proposed "World of Goo 2."

Chapter 3 starts with a time-limited level called Mining.

Not exactly, but it's meant as a reference to that. If you start by playing from a fresh profile you'll see the tower on the map screen grow as you complete more levels.

I suppose I could, but it wouldn't be able to save your progress like the wogc can. That's what always annoyed me about MattOG's old Sandbox level.

Oh dear, the game crashes when trying to enter chapter 1! I've got no other mods active and even swapped the res and properties files for fresh ones, but it still crashes.
That wasn't the first problem either; why do you have the goomod set as a .zip file? Some people might not know how to change it to a .goomod.

That's very odd...the filename is com.goofans.AP.AP.goomod, both on my computer and in the link location.

Ah, that would be it. I'm using the latest Firefox and everything's working for me, I also tested successfully with Chrome.

EDIT: Island1 glitch found and fixed. It was an XML typo.

There are some errors that come up when opening wooble and woogle. For wooble, the top one shows first, then the middle; and that middle one also shows on woogle (bottom).
Also, chapter 3 is enterable before completion of 1 & 2, but there's nothing in it. If you use a new profile though, it cant be entered.

Can you dropbox us the corrected XML file then, and say where it goes. It'll save us having to download the whole thing again.

That's...very odd. I just installed the addin onto a virgin copy of World of Goo and opened the ball in GooBLE without errors.

The whole "chapter 3 enterable" thing is because of the hack I used to make the signs glow. If you start with a fresh profile like you're supposed to it's not a problem. But if you play with a profile that's beaten Hello World it'll unlock.

EDIT: I just looked at the XML file in the goomod, and the resource ID is correct (ball_GlowLaunchHolder). Try reinstalling it? It sounds like GooTool messed up slightly.

This is really, really weird.

Try pointing GooTool to a different directory completely. There may be some residual mod files.

It's good of you to offer, but there's no need. I actually haven't redownloaded it yet to test it. 67MB is a lot to keep dling for every little bug fix, so I was just going to wait a bit until you sorted out any other problems that may have arisen.

I just tried the mod again (from the dropbox link) and it still wont go into chapter 1 without crashing. Have you actually reupped to dropbox a completely new goomod file? If you did, then the problem still hasn't been fixed. Also, you forgot to change the version number.

I haven't been changing the version number out of laziness, but it is a new file (or rather, a copy of the original I've been editing). This is...bizarre, to say the least.

Would you mind using Mygod's debugger on the mod? Tell me what it says the problem is.

Ah, okay. Those are standard errors in World of Goo from when they added the language-specific sounds option. But crashing partway through like that limits the number of things it could be.

Yes and I didn't find a way to write the message without making it buffered.
So I recommend to use WooGLE to look at the chapter map/level and island.xml.
And my Console Debugger can be used to find some warning messages.
EDIT: Just found out how to make the game produce real-time console message.

Whenever I go to chapter one it crashes! On mine chapter 4 is unlocked but 2 and 3 aren't and chapter 4 just goes to the chapter 5 "End of the world" but the "moon" level is fine

Ender, it sounds like you're having the same problem as Peter. Wait about two hours at most, then redownload the file and it should work.

The "Chapter 4" button is unlocked because I haven't built an island for it yet, so it just acts like the default Island 5 as a placeholder.

Is Dropbox somehow caching the file? That might be it. Try this link, I renamed the file.

Ah, I think I've found the problem now. 7Zip's scratch disk was filling up while it packed the files, so some kept vanishing.

I'm rezipping the whole thing now.
