OK, now, could you (or somebody else) explain this a bit better please?
I don't get it.
once i got a black ball trembling, and another time one broke off, but disappeared completely.

The effect is quite random. This bug has been used in play (WoG official levels), but only when timebugs are present. This allows the player to redo the final connection and eventually achieve a desired result. The level design is not that which I would have expected. It should be a solid floor all the way across, with very deep ground beneath (to discourage goos from disappearing but encourage strand breaking). Version 1.0 OCD is impossible. There are only 5 goos that can be collected. The 3 goos touching the ground are well-neigh impossible to detach with the number of ivy goos allowed. I too could not fully detach a goo without it disappearing.
Having said all that, this level does show the bug even if one can't exploit it fully.

Have managed to collect ONE. May I suggest that the ivy goos should have ivy strands (more true to the game). Also the platform be extended to the left. My collected goo was just at the screen edge. It was the second goo on the top row. There does not seem to be enough space to cleanly detatch the first goo. Anybody know how to detatch the bottom row?

On the mac, this is what I see:
1st: The second, big billboard, to the right isn't there.
2. The approach I used was to remove the ball marked with the arrow (causing the ball on the left to swing down). I then attached two more balls for triangles, and repeated.
3. Eventually that middle ball starts swinging around like mad.
4. But nothing else happens until I attach one more ball to the wild shaking thing.
5. Then I'll get a big collapse, but all the black balls are still intact -- none have broken off.
6. And, some of the balls will disappear if I pick them up, and drop them on the right side pit.

I've played this level again and again and never been able to detatch any, so don't worry there.
As for your other problems, I have no clue...

If You see WogFan The Site you can the shaking bug in action on getting max goos.
It is pretty random to get goos off but sometimes you get lucky.

This is one of the hardest levels I've ever seen. (Just to clarify, I haven't even finished it yet.) Anyone who wants to download this level, beware!
