Did anybody see the new game developer's club? There was some information posted on the 2Dboy Website today and it seems like a giant business made up of highly-skilled game developers.

Here are the people involved:

  • Ron Carmel
    and
    Kyle Gabler
    -2D BOY (World of Goo)
  • Jonathan Blow
    -Number None (Braid)
  • Kellee Santiago
    -thatgamecompany (flOwer)
  • Nathan Vella
    -Capy (Critter Crunch)
  • Matthew Wegner
    -Flashbang Studios (Off-Road Velociraptor Safari)
  • Aaron Isaksen
    -AppAbove Games (Armadillo Gold Rush)

Here is the website. Here is the original 2Dboy Blog post.

I don't really think the Indy Fund is a business. They're more like charity, giving money to promising game developers so that they can plan, develop, and publish their games and make some money. It's like a (so far, smallish) network of Indy developers who support each other.

P. S. Would you clean up your list a bit? The commas are sort of distracting.

Indie Fund is exactly that, 'a fund'. It funds other game developers that don't have money to pay for their game development.

This is probably going to get public really fast. Many people have already seen the article, by the looks of it. Also, this would be great for independent game-developers to get a little funding for their games. This would make MORE games QUICKLY. I like the idea.
