Here's a presentation I gave today in Amsterdam that may be of interest here. It's about GooTool's technical architecture, drilling down at the end into the platform support code.
I hope to release the source code this week; I've got all the top-of-file license comments inserted which was the main thing I wanted to finish up before releasing it.

Mind if I steal some code for Aquaria? Chances are it won't turn out anything like GooTool (most likely because I would program it in another language).
