Very strange. At first I thought the game somehow "knows" if we are using the bug or not and is checking if the highest ball is in someway connected with the lowest ball, if now it won't compile the pers2 in the right way.

But then I managed to upload my profile even though I used the bug, it's not much, only 14m but it is possible to be to get higher "tower" and upload the profile.

Also it's legal to thwack a structure up higher, and it still lets you upload.

Maybe its something to do with the height thats gained so fast and having the airborne piece nowhere near to where the camera is.

btw, theres a tower cheat on the leaderboard. Can you guess which one?

Yep, Peter, CPU is a cheat. Good god, it looks like someone went through some extreme Blustery Day there!

You'll notice a 56m "tower" on the leaderboard. I was testing what height the error comes up at. That 56 was originally a 61m, I went back in and quickly exited so it went down to 56. So maybe anything over around 58 or so brings up the message.

Edit: I was right, I tried to upload a 59 and it wouldnt do it, but it did upload a 58, see leaderboard.

Don't have any clue why that is...

Oh, and, We should retain from uploading these "towers" ...
We have to talk about is this cheating or not. By my opinion it is not, because we are using everything that game offers and nothing else. But I would like to hear what DaB and davidc think.

Until than I have hidden you latest profiles so that people won't complain or start uploading "towers" that are not gained with shaking bug

I agree, I don’t consider it cheating. But I suppose it may have to be scrapped due to it being impossible to tell if someone cheated or not without analysing every profile.

My guess is that it's trying to create an image that's bigger than the memory limit on the server. If you have extra stuff on the ground to the left or right of your tower, remove it. Otherwise I'll look at your profile when I have time.

The website doesn't itself automatically prevent illegal towers being uploaded (to prevent gaming the system), but some of the moderators have developed programs to detect illegal towers using a variety of heuristics and will ban towers in the leaderboards that were built by cheating. Towers using anything other than pure human ingenuity and mouse-click power are not allowed. This includes towers that were originally built by a program and later tested as working in-game.

The "Daft as Brush method" of finding cheats would be fine with these towers, just like any others made by launching.

I'm having a lot of trouble performing the bug again (60+m) to try what you had suggested (no ground stuff), Its like the games not working the same for some reason. I’ll keep trying though.

Edit: I just did a 79m one with no ground stuff and it still brought up the error.
Your going to have to take a look at the pers2 to see if there's a problem there. I'll email the 79 one to you as well. If you don’t find anything wrong, is there any way you could manually upload them?

Yeah, I got it around 60 but didn't wanted to upload it yet. Wanted to hear what davidc has to say first. To bad we can't be on top (well, at least I can't )
