Yes, I will look at this when I have access to a decent computer again.

There's something VERY ODD about your tower...

10,fullscreen4,true4,mrpp1,09,profile_0447,XaMou,2,601,3,GoingUp,7,7,88,EconomicDivide,13,11,154,HangLow,10,18,148,0,_b:Drained:33,00:891,00:0,00:0,00:b:Drained:59,00:610,00:0,00:0,00:b:Drained:46,00:800,00:0,00:0,00:b:Drained:-28,00:763,00:0,00:0,00:b:Drained:-51,00:672,00:0,00:0,00:b:Drained:37,00:866,00:0,00:0,00:b:Drained:-41,00:762,00:0,00:0,00:b:Drained:-40,00:734,00:0,00:0,00:b:Drained:-98,00:694,00:0,00:0,00:b:Drained:-66,00:763,00:0,00:0,00,_ffff0000axxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,10,0.

The decimal point is a comma rather than a full-stop - e.g. "33,00" should be "33.00". While I know some countries (like Germany) display commas for the decimal point, it's VERY odd that this should show up internally in the profile file!

Presumably nobody else using a German version of Windows has this problem so I have no idea why it's happening for you. Can you try entering the World of Goo corporation, building a small tower, then exiting, and see if the problem still happens?

Did you use TFR? That's what caused it on mine. To check, look for 4444 in the level list.

Another Planet finally has an official release! Download chapters 1 through 3 here! Thank you for waiting so long while I kept starting over.

No, Albion Pokey, that's not it... in the profile tower there are commas instead of periods for the decimal point. He sent me his pers2.dat and I can see clearly it's in the tower, not the levels.

In fact, there IS no way I can fix this because the comma is used as a separator between profile elements... I'd be amazed if the World of Goo Corporation was actually working.

I suspect WoG may use _ (underscore) as an additional separator, or maybe it processes it as a stream and switches mode when it finds one.

Either way... spliting at underscores would divide a profile into a section with comma separators and no commas in the data, (the level chunk) and a section with colons as separators and (maybe) commas in the data (the tower chunk)

Looks "do-able"... if not "pleasant"

Hmm yes I suppose if used ",_" as the primary separator you'd get three chunks: levels, tower and player key. Then you'd still have the pleasure of doing a string replace on the tower floats to change the commas into full stops.

Since this is the first report I've had of the problem in two years, it seems to be a rather isolated case!

Hey, could you please start a new forum topic about that? Here isn't the best place to discuss...

And either type out the whole error message, or post a screenshot. (There are more than one possible GooTool error messages, believe it or not, and we need to know which one to help you.)

The more info the better!

*What version of WOG? Patched, or unpatched?
*What levels are you trying?
*Does GooTool give you an error, or does WOG?

Answer these questions in a new forum topic, and we'll be glad to help.
