I've had this problem before. Just remove the previous GOO from the registry.
Go to your registry (regedit) and remove "\HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\2dboy"
This should fix it.
Ha, this isn't actually World of Goo. It's Tower of Goo. AFAIK, I have never met a problem with it. Check your RAM amount.

Well, I've had trouble with the old tog releases myself. I somehow corrupted my profiles and now they won't open! Oops.
