It's simple, really. Throw one giant ivy towards the gear, wait a split-second for one of the spawned ivys to land on the starting structure, and then slam the structure down towards the pipe with another large ivy. If you're lucky, you'll hit the pipe and the Goo Ball will get sucked in.
