My Steam Skin

Heya guys! I was having a look at the skinning possibilities of Steam and decided to try something out. Surprisingly I couldn't find any helpful documentation online so I had to look at the files of another skin. Still, only took a few days to get it done.

What I managed to make is a Pip-Boy 3000 skin (from Fallout 3 and New Vegas, for those who don't know). At this stage all I've done is modified the navigation buttons at the top so that they're like those on the Pip-Boy, but it looks cool nonetheless. However, due to the size of them, the actual square you look at have been squished down a bit. Not too noticeable though.
Anyway, I'm thinking of later on improving it to give it the texture of the Pip-Boy, and probably adding stuff like the logo and maybe some more buttons/screws/whatnot.

(Note: when opening Steam in Developer Mode, the Console navigation button doesn't have a label.)

Skin for what, TF2?

For Steam itself.

Another Planet finally has an official release! Download chapters 1 through 3 here! Thank you for waiting so long while I kept starting over.

Looking at the screenshot makes it much easier to determine Tongue

But yes, for Steam. A skin for TF2 is a bit out of my league for now.

Well, no, it's not much different than a skin for World of Goo. Just use VTFs for images.

I mean, making an acceptable, unique, cool-looking skin from scratch for a weapon commonly used. I'm not that good with graphics, I am using graphics straight from Fallout 3 for this skin.

Version 1.1 is out, not much changed. But it looks slightly cooler, see the OP for screenshot and download.

(btw, does anybody care?Tongue)

Read the OP.

(If you're too lazy to do that, then yes, I did make it.)
